Saturday 18th May – Your Soil and How Productive is It?


Do you really understand your Soil?

How quickly can you improve productivity?

Would you like to take the next step in improving your fruit and vegetable growing by understanding all aspects of your soil?

This workshop covers the Physical, the Chemical & the Biological components of your soil.

You will leave with more of the tools needed to assess your soil and make practical improvements.

We will be doing soil sampling, Use of a penetrometer,  pH testing , Aggregate stability testing , Soil texturing  and Infiltration testing.

You will need to bring a small sample of your own soil for the workshop.

By the end of the workshop you will have a better understanding of why & when you should consider soil testing.  You will have a better ubderstanding of deficiencies in your soil and how to improve.
